What to see in San Juan del Sur: bay and Pacific viewpoints
The bay of San Juan del Sur, Cristo de la Misericordia and the surrounding Pacific coast are the area's main visual references. The town waterfront and outlying beaches are different places, not one continuous promenade.

Explore the bay before considering the Cristo de la Misericordia viewpoint, then choose a separate beach according to the experience you want. Nearby Playa Maderas and protected Playa La Flor do not have identical access conditions.
How to get around
Confirm how to reach your chosen viewpoint or beach from the town and reserve the return transfer when necessary. Do not assume every beach is accessible directly by walking from the waterfront.
