Laguna de Perlas: Caribbean lagoon and island connections
Laguna de Perlas, or Pearl Lagoon, is a Caribbean destination of lagoon waters, coastal communities and connections to the Pearl Cays. The main settlement, Orinoco and the offshore islands are different places with separate transport needs.

Learn about local Caribbean culture and food in the lagoon communities, or consider a responsibly organised visit to the Pearl Cays. A private island stay is not the same as accommodation within the town of Laguna de Perlas.
How to get around
Confirm the route to the main settlement and then the exact boat arrangement for any community or cay. Access to Orinoco and offshore locations should be planned separately, including the return journey and weather considerations.

Do not assume frequent or fixed boat departures, or that private-island transfers are included. Respect local communities and conservation rules and verify present access and services before departing.
